Need Labor Day weekend plans but you're on a budget? I know all about some awesome and inexpensive events happening this weekend, so be sure to check them out!

Dragon*Con Parade 2009 - This one is a can NOT miss.  Even if you aren't a Dragon*Con fanatic, the parade is a spectacle of costumes, characters & fun! Saturday, September 5th, at 10AM bring your candy, banners and noisemakers - anything to bring out your alter ego!  And make sure to look out for the Storm Trooper Army, you (literally) can't miss them!

Decatur Book Festival - I've always loved reading which is why I love the Decatur Book Festival! Not only are there visiting authors but activities for the whole family, plenty of books to flip through, and you can even meet Bookzilla, the festival's mascot!  You'll see me there on Sunday!

Park Tavern's 5th Annual Beer & Whiskey Festival - Are you an expert drinker?  Interested in drinking for a cause?  There's no better place to do it!  You can taste a variety of beers and whiskey and listen to awesome tribute bands for an all day festival at Park Tavern located near Piedmont Park... WHILE raising money for PAWS Atlanta ( Atlanta 's Oldest & Largest No-Kill Animal Shelter)! I love PAWS & they need the support so be sure to come out!

Art in the Park - I'm actually looking for some great original art for my house, so I'm headed to the Art in the Park festival!  It's an amazing way to check out all kinds of art from across the nation! Check it out at Marietta Square this weekend September 5-7 from 10-5PM to view over 130 artists and their exhibits, plus there are fun art activities for those who want to go hands on.

See, you don't have to have a ton of Monday to find fun things to do this weekend in Atlanta!  I'll be partying with you on Labor Day so be sure to call me and get your On Demand requests (and save me a burger or two)!

About Brittany

Hey, I'm Brittany!  I'm "that girl that comes on after The Bert Show" or alternately "that girl I won a prize from!" when I run into you on the street or at a Q100 event.  I live in the Virginia Highlands, and you'll find me eating at Harry & Sons sushi, walking my dogs in the park, or catching some great improv at Dad's Garage.  I've got all of the best brunch recommendations in town, just ask!

I'm also pretty good at naming songs by the lyrics, so if you can't figure out what that song is that's stuck in your head, give me a call between 10am and 3pm and I can probably tell you.  I also just like to hear from people who are listening throughout the day, so call the request line, 404-741-Q100 and tell me where you're listening at work!  You can follow me on Twitter as @Q100Brittany
